2. Come to the experts:
Shop for a new bed at a store that specialises in beds. At Mattresses Stores, their sales people will be able to help you because they know beds. They’ll be able to assist you with selecting the right type of bed for you.
3. Do a Rest Test:
You have to test the beds. Sitting on the corner of the bed isn’t a real test. Lie down on the bed in your favourite sleeping position. Stay in that position until you get a proper feeling for the bed. It’s really important that you don’t shop for beds when you’re tired. All the mattresses will feel really comfortable. You also don’t want to fall asleep.
4. Do a Support Test:
Lie flat on your back and then slide one hand under the small of your back. If there’s a gap, or your hand slides in too easily, the mattress is too firm for you. If you can’t slide your hand underneath yourself at all, the mattress is too soft. A good mattress molds to the shape of your body and you’ll feel its support.
LATEX OR MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES, WHICH IS BETTER?
Comfort is very subjective. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to foam mattresses and personal comfort. Some people prefer softer mattresses, while others prefer having a firm bed to sleep in.
Latex and memory foam couldn’t be more different. For instance, a latex foam mattress is considered eco-friendly. They’ve been around for centuries and offer superior allergy resistance. They’re also extremely durable. Some have even been known to last up to 15 years.
